Parking: Please park in the main parking structure. Participating artists will receive a parking pass, so you will not be charged on leaving. Self park. Do not drop off gear in the Valet Parking area. The parking is close to the painting area.
Entrances are on Americana way or Central.

Painting area: We are restricted to the grass area only in the center of the main plaza. Not on the walkway around the fountains, or the trolley tracks. Please do not set up where you could obstruct pedestrian traffic. No equipment is provided.

General Information


Address: 889 Americana Way, Glendale, CA 91210. The cross streets are Brand and Colorado Blvd.

Parking: There is an onsite parking lot which gives 2 hours free parking with validation. In addition there is parking at the Galleria Mall which is free but a block away. Someone will be on hand to watch your equipment if you want to drop it off.

Set up: Please be set up by 9:00 am. Set-up begins at 8:30 a.m.

Garbage: Do not leave any trace of paint or garbage in your area. Bring a bag for garbage and dispose of it properly.

Sales: No work can be sold on site as this is a commercial facility and we are not licensed to do so. You may bring business cards and promotional material. We are planning a follow up exhibit of the work which will include sales. You will be notified as the details are confirmed.

Tear Down: The event ends at 1:00 p.m. Please end off promptly.

What to paint: As the event is located at this upscale shopping and residential park, paintings that reflect the Americana at Brand are encouraged. There is ample subject matter: architectural elements, statues, shoppers, cafes and retail frontage. This will be the subject of the exhibit. There will be no paid models.

International Art Day: The day dedicated to the appreciation of the arts, art collectors, arts organizations, arts supporters and artists of all disciplines. Cost: $17.00 participation fee to cover administration costs of the paint out. Fees will be collected during the set-up.

Jurying in Artists: We will try to accommodate everyone who wants to participate. Due to number limitations, a jurying process may be used if necessary.

Deadline to submit application is August 5, 2008
