“I found the kimono online from a vendor in Japan. When it arrived I couldn't wait to paint my model wearing it. Holding it up to see the woven pattern made me wonder about it's history and who had worn it before. I tried to capture this sense of mystery in the painting, especially with the lost and found edges of the brush work.”
