The model herself
was the inspiration for this painting, Sonata in Blue and Silver. We met during a "Film Noir" photo shoot on the bridge at Devil's Gate, Pasadena. I was struck by her poise, very refined for someone so young. Although that day she was
modeling for the camera, I hired her for this painting. She posed seated before a window dressed in cobalt satin. The painting became a study
of elegance in blue and silver. |
