This workshop is an opportunity to spend 10 days in idyllic South of France with a group of like minded artists while painting, sketching and enjoying the natural beauty and bounty of France. This year we return to our carefully selected Château perched above a hillside village for this stay. With views that will take your breath away, we will dine on the terrace overlooking the Luberon valley.
The itinerary includes a trip to explore the trail of Van Gogh at St. Remy and we mapped out a full listing of alternate sites to explore and savor for non-painting guests. Evenings are set aside for art discussions, demos and just relaxing with friends and enjoying a good wine.
Discounts available for spouses or partners (painting or non-painting.) Painters led by Julie Snyder, a seasoned traveler and professional artist. See here for more about the prior trips to France and the subsequent exhibits of the work created and inspired by the visiting artists. Learn more...

Ongoing weekly uninstructed workshops
Following a long tradition of working side-by-side with other artists, these workshops are anyone who wants to paint, sculpt or draw costumed or figure models. The model adopts one long pose for the evening.
The door is open. Just show up with your gear to paint or draw. Easels, benches provided. Sometimes models are booked for more than one session allowing for larger and more complete work.
There are several L.A. area workshops of this type - check Facebook group - Figure Painting and Sculpting Workshops L.A. for updates, model schedule etc.)
My workshops are currently on hold.
" I learned a great deal about traveling with painting gear. I will benefit for the rest of my life from the friendships that evolved.
